Established in May 2012 by NJIT alumni Erica Feldman ’10H, ’11, Rich Acosta Jr. ’11H, ’14, and Ken Mosca ’09H, this scholarship provides financial assistance to undergraduate students in the Ying Wu College of Computing who are active members of the NJIT student chapter of the Association for Computing Machinery.
On Giving Day, the goal is to grow this fund into a fully endowed scholarship, ensuring permanent, sustainable support for future computing students. Gifts and pledges will help build the principal needed to establish the endowment and create a lasting impact.
The NJIT student chapter of the Association for Computing Machinery is part of the world’s largest educational and scientific computing society. On campus, ACM provides free tutoring for computer science, information technology, and information systems courses; leads student run special interest groups; and partners with YWCC to host major events such as HackNJIT and JerseyCTF. Through these programs, ACM builds community, strengthens technical skills, and prepares students for careers in technology.
