Career Development Services (CDS) empowers NJIT students to discover, prepare for, and pursue meaningful careers. We provide comprehensive support from early exploration to career launch, grounded in career advising, experiential learning, civic engagement, and strong industry and community partnerships.

Funding strengthens our ability to deliver the crucial support NJIT students and alumni rely on throughout their career progression. The following programs and services are just a few examples of how your support can advance our mission:

• Our CDS Peer Mentorship program empowers experienced students to guide peers in resume writing, interview preparation, and job search strategies.
• Community engagement through events such as Alternative Spring Break and National Volunteer Week connects students to impactful service experiences, supporting professional development while contributing to the Newark community.
• Career services technologies such as Handshake, Big Interview, CareerShift, and Hiration enhance career readiness and connect students with internships, co-ops, and full-time opportunities.
• Large-scale career fairs, recruitment programs, and networking events connect students directly with employers, alumni, and nonprofit partners, creating pathways to internships, co-ops, and full-time employment. • Our Popcam headshot camera provides students with professional, on-demand headshots to strengthen their online presence on platforms such as LinkedIn.
