About NJIT Giving Day

When you make a gift to the Hispanic / Latinx Leadership Council (HLLC), you directly support a leadership committee of prominent and influential NJIT alumni and friends which provides guidance on NJIT's efforts to engage with Hispanic students, alumni, businesses, and the larger Hispanic community in our state.

NJIT is now recognized as a Hispanic-Serving Institution (HSI) by the U.S. Department of Education. Through initiatives like the Hispanic and Latinx Leadership Council, we've seen remarkable growth, with our Hispanic undergraduate population reaching 25% in just three enrollment cycles. Read more.

The council — which features leaders in business and community advocacy, including seven alumni — advises, counsels and supports NJIT’s drive to increase its percentage of Hispanic and Latinx undergraduates from 20% to 25% by 2025 and thereby qualify to earn the federal designation of being Hispanic-serving.
