Millions of children are living with untreated cleft conditions. As a result, they have difficulties eating, breathing, speaking and being accepted by many of their peers and communities. The NJIT Operation Smile Chapter supports Operation Smile, a nonprofit providing free surgeries for children with cleft lip, palate, and facial deformities. We engage students through service, leadership, and awareness of this global health issue.
